Tocca Try Me Fragrance Set

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] I know that Try Me fragrance sets are always popular – they feel like more than the sum of their parts really because they’re treat, discovery and experience. It’s a tasting menu of sorts.

I’ve liked Tocca for such a long time but it always felt somewhat inaccessible – distribution was limited and there were far fewer fragrances in their collection than there are now. It took a long time for me to realise that ‘tocca’ means touch in Italian and today is the day I learned that Tocca started life as a fashion brand!

There are eight 5ml spray vials in this set – Florence (Bergamot & Pear), Stella (Blood Orange & Freesia), Giulietta (Pink Tulips & Green Apple), Maya (Wild Iris & Blackcurrant), Gia (Pink Peppercorn & Tangerine), Simone (Watermelon & Frangipani), Colette (Bergamot & Sandalwood) and Cleopatra (Grapefruit & Jasmine). I’ve given the first two leading notes for each of the fragrances but it’s all covered – spicy, sparkling, fruity, zesty and floral.

I’ve previously tried both Florence and Stella and I think they’re still my favourites although I’m easily swayed by the watermelon note in Simone – a holiday fragrance if ever I smelled one. I’m thinking really of autumn evenings and our desire to stay in more and as well as curling up with a good book, curling up with a good fragrance seems like a very pleasing thing to do. Anyway, it’s £20 which I feel is reasonable and you can find it HERE.

I remember when Tocca dresses were the uniform of off-duty supermodels! 🙂
