I discovered Steam Cream about 3 years ago, lurking on an unmanned .co.uk website with only Chinese (or possibly Japanese) writing as editorial and no way to actually order or buy it. I also found a Chinese website that did actually sell it but the impossibility of ordering in Chinese defeated me and I left it alone. However, when it actually emerged as a living, breathing brand in the UK, it turned out to be really very lovely – feather light to the touch with a unique steaming method of production – and presented in some amazingly pretty decorated tins. It was immediately snapped up on a store exclusive by Liberty (although it is available in on-line stores) making it impossible for potential customers (unless they live or work in London) to properly view the goods before buying. So, Steam Cream is now branching out to John Lewis nationwide and Selfridges with some gorgeous, new, limited edition tins. About time. Seriously.
