Tiffany & Co Jewellery Illustrations

I popped along to Tiffany & Co on Old Bond Street yesterday (as you do) to have a look at their new collections and also their creations for the new film, The Great Gatsby.
Once I’d got over the shock of trying on a diamond ring worth £1.2 million (it suited me, really it did), and the awesomeness of the jewels, the things that really started to pull me in were the incredible jewellery illustrations.
Every item of jewellery must first have an illustration and the exquisite water-colour and pencil drawings of the finest of pieces were just wonderful.
A quick scout across the interweb shows me that these illustrations are very hard to get hold of as mostly brands archive them and they don’t come on the market very often. It’s probably just as well; the last thing I need is another collection lemming.
I like very simple jewellery myself, like this little rose quartz pendant above from the Paloma Picasso range HERE; not too scary at £230, but who knows, maybe I have some millionaire readers, in which case, how about this beautiful bird designed by one of Tiffany & Co’s most famous designers, Jean Schlumberger. It’s around about the gazillion mark 😉

I still can’t decide if Leonardo Di Caprio as Mr. Gatsy is awful or awesome.

They’re beautifully drawn. And that bird 😀

I love and hate walking down Old Bond Street because of all the gorgeous expensive things. I often look in Tiffany’s windows making a noise somewhat reminiscent of a cat watching birds.

Liking accessories on Wednesdays, not affording but liking.

  4. The Tiffany yellow diamonds are stunning, when I first saw them I was in awe! So expensive though. The illustrations are lovely.

they are so beautiful, the yellow stone necklace reminds me of the one kate hudson wore at the party in ‘how to lose a guy in ten days’, your blog is great and i’d really appreciate it if you checked mine out and gave me some feed back?
