[unpaid/sample] I’ve got a few new-to-me products this week and a couple more from The Un_did which I’ll feature later in the week, but I absolutely love this oil melt. It’s loose and glossy and gives your skin the most glorious sheen without being sticky or intrusive. It’s the sort of texture that makes you feel languid and pampered and a bit holiday-ish.
The melt uses unrefined, organic coconut oil with cardiospermum (literally the best plant I’ve seen in a long while with the alternative name of Love In A Puff), echium and sunflower oil. There’s a natural, very lightly sweet scent to it that I’d be happy if my skin smelled of it all the time. What I noticed most after applying is that my skin got even softer after about half an hour or so, retaining the wonderful sheen but not an oiled look.
Inspired by the heritage of its Indian founder, Romi, The Un_did is one of the more exciting new brands I’ve seen. It’s energetic, playful with textures and adventurous with creativity. I have a feeling on this one. You can use the oil in your hair as well as all over your body (I haven’t, but feel tempted) and of course it’s got all the right eco credentials. I’d like this brand to do really well because it feels quite special. As I mentioned, I’ve got two more products to properly test so I’ll be back, but in the meantime if you think you like the sound of this, it’s £15 HERE.
