[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] The Body Shop (which has now been sold to the Aurelius Group as per my last Beauty Business News) Flower Oils are absolutely lovely. I do not have one single complaint (and I’ve tried, in the interests of balance!) because they’re perfect. I love, love, love lip balms – I wouldn’t like to count how many I have – so think of myself (modestly) as a connoisseur somewhat (by volume if nothing else) and these take a straight ten out of ten.

First up, you buy the casing for £5 – it’s a very plain silver (put stickers on it – I’m going to!) – and you can slot in one of three shades of Flower Lip Oil. The key ingredient is Morninga Seed Oil from Rwanda and it gives the balms (TBS calls them oils but personally, I think a solidified oil is a balm so I’m sticking with it) the most lush softness. They actually look a bit bees-waxy when you open them so the glossy glide is something of a surprise but a very pleasant one. As soon as they were on my lips I was happy! There are three shades (more please!) which I’ll take you through. The refills are £12 each which feels a lot more comfortable than the £27 I paid for a Charlotte Tilbury balm a few weeks ago.

This is shade Ylang Ylang, a pleasant neutral shade that’s an easy wear. It’s just got the right hint of colour, the right level of shine and feels very nourishing.

This shade is Rose.

This shade, which I thought I would like least, is the one I like most on me. It’s called Iris.

I’d suggest these as gifts to self or anyone you know that needs lip wear to be both protective and coloured. You can find them HERE.
