This is definitely a handy product for anyone who gets an oily T zone or shine during the day. I know there are so many mattifiers on the market but it’s more unusual to find one in a compact and easier I think than carrying a tube around. The Body Shop Instamatte
I don’t have oily skin or shine so I can only give you top line info on it (I’m sure I don’t need to say that if you have active blemishes, do ensure that you give the sponge a good wash – it’s the one downside to a compact). Although the mattifier looks white in the compact, it is in fact clear when you put it on your face. It feels pretty comfortable (I can definitely feel an initial silicone slip that wears off to feeling more matte and natural) but I preferred to buff it in a bit with the sponge.
The Body Shop Instamatte promises 8 hours of oil control – I can’t put it through that test, but if you’ve used it, perhaps you could feed back in comments. It’s £12 HERE.

sounds like my sort of thing 🙂
When do you use this, is it over your powder during the day or before foundation and powder?
It’s not actually entirely clear – I’d be reluctant to put it over powder but when I tested it I used it over a BB Cream and it was absolutely fine. Personally, I’d recommed for bare skin or over foundation and under powder x
Sounds like something i would really like because my skin tends to get rather oily as i have Combo skin
This is something that I probably should try. Currently I just carry a transparent powder and a brush.
I rarely get oily throughout the day, but this would be a nice compact to carry around on those days when I do need it!

This sounds like a really cool product. I have problems with oily skin and it’s pretty hard to tame it; 8 hours seems like a dream.
I am really excited to try this out, as I have a lot of problems with oily skin. Definitely going to give this product a go.
