Poppy King’s recent release of Butterfly Ball Lipsticks is catching everyone’s attention – her lipsticks are always lush and lovely. This time around, I’m disappointed – it’s such an old, old trick to add hints of blue to the formula that give teeth the illusion of looking whiter..Benefit did it way back, so did Sally Hansen, and I think even Avon has done it. In any case, the effects are so marginal as to be, well, not noticable to the naked eye at all really. I haven’t tried Butterfly Ball, but unless they’ve got something ultra-ultra new, I’ve got to feel somewhat sceptical that whiter looking teeth are anywhere near a reality.
