I now have samples of the Tarte range that’s launching on QVC in the New Year (although I think there is a lipgloss set launching in December). I’ve had a lot of feedback since I put out the news, and it’s mostly been about the Amazonian Clay foundations and blushes. The one thing I didn’t get in the sample selection was the blush, so I really hope they’re also coming – I can’t imagine they aren’t as they are such a core part of the range.

If you don’t know the Tarte range, it’s main USP is eco-chic beauty, so it’s really going to appeal to those who like the purest possible formulas – their list of what ISN’T in the products is as long as my arm but includes parabens, mineral oil, phthalates, sodium lauryl sulfate, triclosan, synthetic fragrances and gluten. The formulas contain superfruit and plant extracts, vitamins, minerals and essential oils and Tarte isn’t just about make up – there is skin care in the mix as well.

Much of the skin care has the key ingredient Maracuja Oil which is good vitamin C and essential fatty acid booster, but more importantly, it’s indicated for dry, sensitive and acne prone skin – the on-line reviews for this are so positive.. it’s clearly a must-have.

Obviously, I’m going to be more interested in the make-up – this beautiful palettes sums it up!

There’s plenty of shimmer, gold nuances and matte shades for revved up nude shade looks. To me, the formulas feel really soft; there’s no break up or dusting that I could tell.

These lipsticks will be sold as a trio – they’re not full-size lippies but very wearable and the outer casing is too pretty! Checking on the US site, it looks like they change up the cardboard tube patterns every now and again. In fact, because I don’t have many details, I’m referring back to the US site while writing this – the Tarte range is huge – and as the range starts to roll out here we are in for some treats! As it is, from what I have in front of me, it looks like a cautious start on QVCUK with core lines of powder foundation/brushes and skin care as a focus.

The only thing I haven’t liked so far is the mascara, but mainly because the tube is encased in mock-croc with hard edges and when you’ve been used, all your life, to a smooth tube, it just feels rather weird in the hand.
I’ve got some of these goodies from QVC to give away, and I’ll be doing one give-away a day next week on my Instagram account: Britbeautyblog, so do follow me there if you’d like to join in.
NB: There’s a fifteen piece Tarte Lipgloss set on the QVCUK site if you’re anxious to get started on your Tarte Collection.

It’s £30 HERE.
