Tanya Burr Lip Gloss Review

Tanya Burr Lip Glosses
Tanya Burr Lip Glosses

The Tanya Burr Lip Glosses are selling like hot cakes – in fact, Afternoon Tea sold out totally (but is back in stock now), so what I have here is a selection of six from the twelve strong range.

I really do like these glosses – they’re fruitily scented (I think it’s strawberry) which makes a very pleasant change from vanilla or mint (yuk) but after a few moments on the lip it’s not an overpowering aroma. They’re all quite sheer with colours being more whisper than shout, but on a personal level, that’s exactly what I like.

So, from right to left: Picnic In The Park, Aurora, Afternoon Tea, Chic, Heart Skipped A Beat and Let’s Travel The World. My favourite is easily Picnic In The Park (wearing it as I write) for its very flattering peach/pink effect; there is enough transparency that your natural lip colour isn’t obliterated so the whole effect is pretty and juicy. My next favourite is Lets Travel The World (although to be pedantic, I think there’s an apostrophe missing on the label) because it’s the kind of shy-red that I’m much more happy wearing than a full-on red. The formula feels smooth on the lip and I really can’t find anything to complain about here.

Tanya Burr Lip Glosses are £6.99 each HERE.

NB: Last time I posted on these, there were several personal comments that I wasn’t willing to publish, so if you want to leave a comment (please do, I read them all) please could they be product related and not person related.

I’m not a great fan of lip glosses – hair over lips etc – but these look such pretty wearable colours that I’m going to give them a go. Please “LET’S be pedantic” over missing apostrophe’s I’m with you all the way if you want to fight for them – I read an article last week in which a group of (foolish) academics are suggesting that they should be abolished!

  2. I usually always go for lip stick over glosses, but after seeing so many bloggers and even Tanya herself, wearing them I just couldn’t not buy! I only bought Let’s Travel The World and Aurora, but tempted to buy the whole lot! Thanks for the great post, it really helped me to decide over whether to buy any of these glosses or not, and I did! Thanks 🙂

  4. I think Tanya has done a fantastic job with her link of glosses & nail polishes – the 6 that you have swatched look wearable and pretty. I like that they have a fruity scent & not a minty scent (not a fan of mint). They colour selection is quite wide ranging & I hope they are a huge success

I want them all, but especially the Aurora lipgloss, it looks just beautiful.

I loveeee the colours, but the consistency looks more like a lip stain than a gloss!

    1. Jane

      Definitely glossy.. no stain involved.

  14. I’ve been dithering over these for a few days now – I didn’t want to order until I’d read a few reviews as I usually find glosses too full on for me (and I hate the whole hair sticking to my lips in the wind thing). Of course, as soon as they sell out I will NEED them! 🙂

  15. These look so pretty, Tanya Burr has done a great job, everything in the collection looks so wearable – I’m a total naturals girl so these are right up my street. brilliant price tag too, she’s really took into consideration her younger audience with that!
