Sweed Cosmetics Review

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] I know Sweed mainly for their lashes – it’s where this Swedish brand started in 2015. Initially, the brand offered false lashes – and we know how mainstream those are now so it was an early adopter of a burgeoning trend. Timing is everything! When I visited Stockholm for the first time, it was very obvious that Swedish women are obsessed with lashes – they were all so perfect.

Sweed has now branched out into mainstream cosmetics – eyes, lips, cheeks and base and they’re texturally absolutely beautiful. I’d draw your attention first to the Air Blush Cream – a soft, creamy blush that translates to a velvet finish on the skin. The shade I’m showing here is Cheeky and the best thing about it is that it doesn’t transfer too much colour onto the skin. It’s easily buildable which I would rather have any day over and above putting too much on and having to start over again, because you can’t take a layer off.

The other product to take note of is the Miracle Powder – it’s got some very clever marketing around it referring to the ‘Paris glow’. This shade is far too deep for me so I’m not even going to try it but will try to get hold of a shade that I can show the product at its best. It’s a blur powder so I’m curious to know how well it performs – especially as I hate powders on my skin. Le Lipstick is a gorgeous formula – it has a sheen (yay), feels softly creamy on the lips and comes in surprisingly wearable shades. I say surprisingly because the lipsticks actually look much deeper in the stick than they do on the lips.

I’m wearing Cheeky blush in both pictures and this picture I am using Le Lipstick in Chloe.

And in this one, I’m wearing my favourite in rosy beige Gabriella – presumably named for the founder of Sweed, Gabriella Elio. I actually clumsily banged the end into the mirror and that’s why it looks so raggy! Both shades are in stock HERE (SpaceNK has sold out of many shades – or never had them, who is to know?) and they’re £22 each (£24 in SpaceNK). It’s a wind up mechanism so there is no sharpening involved. If you feel like a treat, I’d recommend these lipsticks and also the blush if you like cheeks on the more subtle side.
