I’ve already had a few tweets asking for some swatches of this brand new BB from Superdrug that launched yesterday. The light is again not ideal but I’ve done my best with them. Texture wise, I would say it is very like Garnier, without as much sheen.. it has a slightly more matte finish than Garnier. The biggest feedback I get about BBs is that readers like them matte, whereas I like them with sheen! This one is somewhere inbetween.
So, what you need to know about this new BB (into price is £6.99 making it very competitive) is that it contains caffeine, Vitamin C and Hyaluronic Acid as the ‘skin care’ element and also has UVA/UVB filters, SPF15. The shades, Medium and Light both run to warm in tone; the texture starts off medium/thick but goes to a sheer consistency on the skin. It does do a good job with coverage but it’s not foundation strength – more tinted moisturiser plus.

Of the ‘readily available in the UK’ and ‘not too sheeny ones’, which do you think offers most coverage?
Deja vu! I picked up the Garnier BB cream in light at Superdrug just yesterday. First time trying this one and it’s on offer at the moment. I love the coverage, colour and slight sheen to this. Wish I’d have tried it sooner. Much nicer than the No7 one and more affordable than Estee Lauder’s.
I noticed the new Superdrug one on the shelf as well. I like some of their Optimum skin care range, so I would expect good things from their BB cream.
