Despite the less than inspired name, this new skin care brand is promising great things for those who didn’t heed the sunscreen warnings and are now seeing the signs of damage. Hyper-pigmentation (dark spots that form over time and become more obvious with age), wrinkles and texture are all signs of sun damage that make skin look older than it is. At the heart of NIA24 is Niacin (vitamin B3) in their own patented form, Pro-Niacin. Without getting hugely technical, Pro-Niacin enables B3 to be absorbed into the skin to condition from inside and out. The study claims are huge; a 90% reduction in hyperpigmentation with daily use over a 90 day period, 80% increase in skin smoothness and 81% improvement in tone. Of course, the technology to un-do sun damage doesn’t come cheap, with the Intense Recovery Complex coming in at 90 pounds. It will be on SpaceNK counters from May, although it’s already available in the US.
