Stila’s New Look

From about September time, you’re going to notice some big changes with Stila. I love all its cuteness, but after 20 years, maybe it’s time that Stila grew up. I posted last week on the Eyes Are The Window To The Soul palettes that are available in Ulta stores, but had a chance to see them for myself a few days ago.

Here are the four palettes that will be heading our way. I’ve got one all swatched up and have to say, the texture is lovely – not at all chalky and great pay off.

Stila Palette Soul
Stila Palette Spirit

The four palettes are called Mind, Body, Soul and Spirit – above is Spirit, a collection of Stila’s most iconic shades from the past 20 years. Everyone is probably all done on neutral palettes now, so I think this is the best in terms of having neutral elements but something a little different, too, such as the wine shade and a gorgeous rose-gold.

I’m quite pleased because although this might not look like the best swatch in the world, the sun came out just as I was taking it and lit up a couple of the colours so that you can see they have some proper glimmer to them. They’re so soft and there’s a rose-gold shade in Spirit that I am wearing already. Speaking of rose gold, that’s the way the packaging is shaping up to look for the palettes, so far.

Stila Gloss

The new theme is carried on through glosses and mascara so far, but gradually, the entire collection will end up in this theme. I’m going to be rather sorry to say goodbye to the Stila girl, but excited that Stila is a new phase of beauty and can’t wait to see how this evolves.

Stila’s New Look Palettes and Glosses will be available from September/October time.

Wow.. Gorgeous colours & packaging. Call me shallow but I love packaging that makes you feel special when you apply your make up.

  2. I am loving this new look for Stila! Do we know what difference it’s making to the price point?

  3. I’m loving the new look! I’d really like to get my hands on one of those palettes 🙂 xxx Thou Shalt Not Covet

  4. I loved the old look, it was so adorable! But this new one is very pretty too, and I can’t wait to see what the rest of the range will look like.

I wondered why Stila was all on offer in Boots the other day when I hadn’t heard of them making a withdrawal so I guess it was to make way for the new branding. I did like the Stila girl but she/her style of illustration was starting to feel a bit dated.
The palettes look good, especially for travel. I love the shade range of UD but sometimes they are bulkier than necessary!

  6. Love the new look for their products! The palettes especially look amazing!

  7. Im sorry, but I think the new palettes looks cheap…The glosses look fab though zoo I guess that is good? I haven’t felt if they feel sturdy or anything, so maybe in person they are better…but from all the photos that I have seen they look very drugstore/mass for an eyeshadow from a higher end brand. 🙁

I’m not really loving the packaging but the colour combinations of the eye shadow palettes are good. I feel sorry for the Stila girl getting her P45.

I just looked these up on the US Sephora site and the colors in the palettes are very different. For example, the Spirit palette contains golds, browns and russets. It’s filled with warm autumn colors, not the subdued rose/navy as you have swatched. None of the palettes look the same. I am a bit disappointed. I rather liked the Spirit you swatched. I wish there was more consistency between the product lines offered on both sides of the pond. This is true for other brands as well, not just Stila.

it’s possible I made a mistake in the palette name.. I will double check.

      1. Does this mean that all the current Stila palettes & products will be have to be sold to make way for the new collection? I’m really sorry about this as I love Stila the way it is :'(

  10. I love this new look! However, I hope they don’t also get rid of their old palettes because they’re wonderful!
