[productsample/affiliate] Well, Stila is looking pretty for Christmas this year.
I’ve picked out a couple of sets to show you – I like a ‘set’ not least because they’re easy to wrap. This one is called A Knowing Glance and features a mini mascara in the XXX Magnum version, a mini felt tip waterproof liner and a full size Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow in Bronzed Belle, which is kind of a sparkling mink shade.
It’s the biggest mascara brush I think I’ve ever seen and looks a bit odd on a small mascara! I’ve swatched the eye shadow but not the liner as I think everyone knows what a black liner looks like.
I think the swatch speaks for itself it terms of sparkly glam – I’m picking up some pinky-bronze tones in there. The set is £24.65 because it has 15% off (many things in the run up to Black Friday are discounted already in the hopes that people will go early doors rather than wait for the actual day). It’s HERE.
Next up, I’ve picked out this palette – the Blue Realm Velvet Eyeshadow Palette at £25 instead of £30.
I was pretty impressed with the quality of this – six shades in a mix of matte and shimmery that blended so nicely. I didn’t take it to my eyes and did an arm swatch only so can’t speak for the last I love the colours. I tried a bright, bright blue shade on my eyes from Huda and posted it to IGTV and ever since then I’ve looked at vibrant shades more confidently. The first shade, incidentally, is a shimmery iridescence and it’s so pretty.
The mattes are almost blurry shades – they blended so well in the swatch (I used a brush instead of my usual sponge applicators – trying to cut out plastic waste) and while there will always be fall out to a certain degree with sparkly shades, I didn’t find there was excessive drop with these. It seems like nice value especially with the discount and I had expected it to be more than the original £30 price. You can find it HERE.
