Starskin Puff

This is the first new brand I’ve seen in a while that’s really exciting! I already love Starskin. It’s a Swiss brand but obviously taking references from the big trend in all things Asian to bring skin care in a different format. So, bottom line of the brand is that it uses Bio-cellulose, formulated with naturally fermented coconut juice, in its sheet masks, but not being such a big fan of sheet mask, I’ve opted to put the Foaming Peeling Perfection Puff to the test.

So, inside the sachet is a little wet puff – presoaked with carrot extracts, turnip extracts, broccoli, tomato – you get the picture. It’s also got aloe, olive leaf, arginine and – crucial ingredient – lactic acid. You take the puff from the packet, sprinkle a couple of drops of water on it and gently massage your face with it till you build up a nice foam. I will say if it weren’t for the loop of ribbon to hold it firm it would be like rubbing your face with a live frog – it’s slippy!  I’m certain that it’s the AHAs doing the work here and not the salad ingredients, but it’s definitely very skin smoothing and softening. You can use each pad up to three times.

It’s definitely worth taking a closer look at this brand – it reminds me of Glamglow in its early days and look what happened to them – snapped up by Estee Lauder! You can find the Starskin Puff HERE for £7.

This looks like a really interesting concept. Check out my blog if you have time x

  2. This sounds really interesting! Odd and interesting at the same time.

How would you store the puff after the first use?

I guess you’d pop it back in the sachet and seal the top.

That sounds interesting but I don’t know if it’s worth the price.

  6. What a splendid idea for travelling! One less thing to cram into the tiny plastic bag… and one less thing to potentially spill or leak.
