Shiseido Perfect Refining Foundation

It’s a very long time since I used a Shiseido foundation but was instantly impressed with this one that costs £34. Although the colour I was sent to test was far too pale for me and gave me Geisha-face, the formulation is gorgeous. It’s a semi-matte fluid that has fabulous pigment for the liquidity of the base and gives a beautiful coverage that disappears any flaws. Loved it.

Shu Uemura Stage Performer Signs-Off Instant Replenishing Line Smoother

This is a weird one – on under-eye lines it made absolutely no difference whatsoever, yet on nose to mouth fine lines, it all but wiped them out. However, after a couple of hours, the effect had not lasted and it was as though I’d never used them at all. This one is a no-no for me.

L’Oreal Color Infallible Eye Shadow in All Night Blue

I absolutely love this colour – a midnight navy that comes out almost charcoal with shards of twinkling light blue. It’s made to a very smooth and velvety formula so application is a dream and it is said to last 24 hours – sadly my dedication to make up has failed and I haven’t put it to the test! I’m not sure it’s really a selling point, anyway. There is also a khaki shade (Khaki) that is really rather beautiful and my eye is also caught by the purple shade (Purple Obsession).
