[unpaid/purchase/affiliate] Anyone who has read this blog for a while will know exactly why this collaboration was irresistible for me! I picked up this Kabuki brush more to look at than to use but in fact, it’s not a bad brush at all for light blush dusting.

Spectrum Brushes x Hello Kitty

It’s themed around a Hello Kitty cafe – hence the bizarre sugar cube box packaging (upsettingly labelled $1.99 when in fact the brush is £12 ;-)) although I’d have been equally happy (maybe more so) if sugar cubes with a kitten face had fallen out of the box.

The hand feel is interesting – your fingers are programmed for roundness when they go near a brush so to meet a square is odd but actually, the grip is fine. It’s chunky enough to have a proper hold and therefore is completely workable. The bristles are synthetic but super soft and not so nylon-y that they won’t pick any product up. The collection comprises strawberry shaped sponge make up applicators, brush sets in pancake mix cartons and a milk shake carton shaped bag. I know, it’s surreal and a bit bonkers but I like it :-). The Kabuki brush is £12.99 HERE, non-affiliate HERE.
