There’s lots of newness coming from Sleek MakeUP in the next few months, but the product that really caught my eye is this limited editon Rio Rio Palette. If you love bright and colourful eye shades, this one is for you!

I’ve never really considered wearing yellow as an eye colour but I’ve got to admit that the yellow in this palette is absolutely gorgeous – I’m definitely going to try it. So, shades from top left to right: Tropics, Night Fever, Ipanema, Caipirinha, Urca and Leblon. Bottom row left to right: Chachaca, City of God, Copacabana, Sao Conrado, Bossa Nova and Leme. Someone’s really done their Brazil research!

Top row swatches – all are done with a single finger swipe then straight to arm.. I don’t blow the dust off or anything; it comes out just as you see it or as you might experience it if you did the same with your finger to lid.

Look at the yellow! If you’ve got suggestions about how to wear this yellow, please leave them in the comments below. It’s such a tricky but beautiful colour – it would be great to share suggestions or post links where you’ve created a yellow eye look.

Sleek MakeUP i-Divine Rio Rio launches into Superdrug on 2nd July.

Hi there! Yellow looks amazing with black winged eyeliner! Bronzer and a pink lip, fab! 😀

  2. Becky

Try the yellow on the lid with a chocolate/dark brown shadow blended through the crease and black winged liner 🙂

  3. Whoa this is so colourful! I like the blue and both pink shades! 🙂

  4. Emily

I suppose you could blend it in with a gold and just push the yellow on to the centre lid to make it more wearable!

  5. This looks so beautiful! I love the packaging too. I really want to be a bit braver with colourful eye shadows, I have to stop using neutrals all the damn time! xx

  6. Amazing palette, I might have to add that one to the collection! Would love to see that yellow used too, that’s a scary colour for me haha!

  7. These are so pigmented I personally don’t like bright eyeshadow but this would be so good to add to my makeup kit!

I recently bought the Sleek matte palette and I’m so impressed with the quality of the shadows. I think this is a little bright for me but I would recommend Sleek shadows in general, especially for the price.

Love love love it! Maybe a sneak peak of other sleek items too? 🙂

  11. I love Sleek and especially their palettes, but i think that I wouldn’t be able to pull off most of these colours x

I’m loving all the of the bright Rio collections coming out! This looks so stunning, especially the deep, royal blue.

Love this palette – looks so bright! I would do a neutral eye then put the yellow underneath the eye:) http://rosebeautynow.blogspot.co.uk/ x

I often wear yellow right in the centre over my pupil to make it stand out, especially if I wear green eyeshadow, or browns. Gives a lovely pop

  15. What a gorgeous palette! I would use the yellow near the tear duct for that ‘awake’ effect. Or with a neutral eyelook and yellow on the lower lashline. If you want it really subtle you can use it in the crease.

I really love Sleek Make-Up. They always have lovely collections.

I’d probably try the yellow on inner corner then blended into that deep blue across the rest of the lid or with the red and pink as a ‘sunset’ eye look.
I actually love that mint colour but the rest of the palette is too bright for me. I think it’s great that Sleek goes ‘out there’ for a high street brand though

  17. That yellow looks gorgeous! I have always wanted a high street yellow which actually has some pigmentation to it! I don’t know if I’d use the whole palette though, but it does look really good!

  18. wow, I’m excited about this new palette! You said that you’d like to get inspiration for looks with yellow e/s, so here’s the link to one of my blogposts: http://audrey-jackie-grace-and-me.blogspot.de/2014/03/real-life-beauty-5-always-look-on.html?m=1 It’s a very colourful combination and maybe a bit daring, but I like it, ’cause it’s a real statement 🙂

  19. I’d be tempted to team the yellow with brown, or black for a more striking look. x

  20. The colors in this palette are amazing! I can’t wait to try it! Amazing article 😀

The colors look gorgeous in the palette. I have too ordered one for me :p

you can pair yellow with a black winged liner, warm blush/bronzer and peach lips.
    ….
Waiting to see your looks with this palette
