Lovely Sisley has pledged to help raise funds for the 2012 running costs of Kids Company’s Heart Yard by launching the ‘Become A Friend of The Heart Yard’ campaign.
So, what is Heart Yard? It’s a plain looking Victorian House from the outside, but once past the door, it transforms into a place of healing and intensive emotional support for the most vulnerable children that need it. I am pretty sure I don’t need to explain the horrendous and unimaginable traumas these children have been though in order to need Heart Yard, but I do know that I am thankful to my bones that such a place exists for them.
I know no other person that I admire more or aspire to be like than Camilla Batmanghelidjh. She founded Kids Company in 1996 and her commitment is monumental. So Sisley fans will be happy to know that 10% of proceeds of Sisleya Anti-Age and Sisleya Eye & Lip contour Cream from 1st of September will go straight to Heart Yard. At the same time, they’ll be enouraging people to become A Friend of Heart yard by commiting to a one off donation or a monthly standing order to contribute to the running costs of Heart Yard. Sisley will also initiate fundraising and volunteering activities for its employees to raise even more.
From September 1st you can text KIDS GIVE to 70700 to make a £10 donation and in the amazing way that Twitter can work you can get everybody listening to how vital Heart Yard is by tweeting with the hashtag #friendofheartyard.
