Shupette Shock!

Shupette Blush

I’m obsessed with the cuteness of the Shu Uemura Shupette range, but this was a bit of a surprise, I have to admit. I have only had this maybe two or three weeks at the very most and I’ve hit pan already.

It’s a moussy style blush that is perfect for my skin tone so I’ve been wearing it (interspersed with M&S Creme Blush and Bourjois Creme Blush), but if I’ve used it ten times I’d be surprised. The problem is, despite the product looking like a nice, chunky blush with a good amount to last you a while, on the bottom right of the picture I’ve marked out with a black line where the product pan finishes. You are getting literally a skim of blush in this pot. And it’s £22.

It’s so disappointing – and in my view, rather misleading. Why present something looking as though it has four times the amount of product that it really has. Naughty. Don’t buy it.

  1. That is so cheeky and misleading!

That’s really naughty. Aren’t companies required by law to state a volume or weight for products? Can’t see any mention of it anywhere online. Sneaky!

  3. Yikes! Is that the norm or were you sent a sample?

  4. Oh, that’s so disappointing! 🙁

Wow – that is surprising! I really liked the look and the swatches of these but if they are all like this blush they’ll have to be a pass. Do you know how much the product holds in oz? Cause that looks like a deluxe sample or something of the sort, not full size!! So surprised!

Jesus. Absolutely beautiful shade, but there’s no way I’d pay that money (probably 30-something euro) to have it gone in a month.

Oh that is very naughty! Looks so beautiful too!

£22 for THAT?! How rude. It’d be better value to buy a cheap one and reapply it several times a day.

Hmmmmm, thank you for the heads up! Was going to purchase but now I’ll give it a miss!!

Weird. I found a photo of the outer box on a blog that says it’s 4.4g, while the Bourjois one is 2.5g. Has it evaporated, like cream eyeshadows come away from the edges? This is all very strange and expensive.
I prefer bunnies anyway; cats are overrated.

I think because it’s a moussy texture it disappears quicker.. I have never used a blush so quickly, ever.. great texture, mind you – I love it.. but was just a bit shocked that it disappears so quickly!

Wow, that’s not great. I wonder if it is the formula, because the bourjois ones that seem to be a bit more powdery last for ages. Either way, too expensive per wear when it disappears that fast.

  12. That’s terrible, I really liked the look of that as well. I hate it when products do that! If you can please do a post on products that mislead in quantity 🙂

It looks nics but I have a very similar one from Clinique (the one that is flower shaped) and it is good enough for me.

  14. I am not sure it worth it…..
