I’ll warn you ahead that the Shiseido Yohji Yamamoto Camellia Palette is eons away from launch (think November time) but it’s like no other palette that I’ve seen in that it’s soft top. The floral lid is actual material and the colours inside reflect the exterior. It’s ridiculously pretty! Interesting too that it’s asymmetrical – Yohji Yamamoto frequently brings asymmetry to his fashion designs. A bit of me though just wants to tidy up that odd corner!

Following the asymmetary theme, there are six colours inside to make both day and evening eyes – if you know Shiseido textures, they’re always smooth as silk with good pay off. I’m trying to look at it as if it were an oblong palette because silly as it sounds, I’m not used to looking at colour clusters in make up like this and easily seeing how they might work together (anyone else? or just me…?).

I’m not keen to swatch the Shiseido Yohji Yamamoto Camellia Palette yet, so I’ll wait til nearer launch date.. it’s just sitting in my kitchen looking all kinds of pretty and I want to keep it that way for as long as possible. It’s so early I don’t have a price yet but I’m imagining that it’s not going to be cheap.
