Shiseido Panasonic Ultrasonic Face Mister

Misty beauty is a thing. I’ve already seen (and will be blogging) a mist spray moisturiser from France, and now this collaboration between Shiseido and Panasonic using a special size of Shiseido AquaLabel Moisture Lotion designed to fit with the Panasonic mister. It’s not that new actually – 2011 – but it’s only recently we’re seeing more misty beauty that’s using the concept of spray or mist to apply products. Think of the Vaseline Spray Body Lotions and Spray Foundations for example.

So, the Ultrasonic Face Mister works by filling up the tank (with Shiseido or whatever you want I expect) and turn on the device to release a spray of micro-fine mist through an ultrasonic micro vibrating mesh. You can control the amount of mist (imagine if that went wrong!) to high or low and you can apply it where you like. I guess the main benefit of this is hydrating on the go – I can’t see myself doing it but I can see where it would be very useful as a facial SPF. It’s my understanding that the particles are so fine you don’t need to rub it in, but wait 30 seconds and you’re good to go. Basically, what it’s doing is converting serums or creams to micro fine mists. Interesting stuff! It’s not, to my knowledge, available in the UK.

Hot on from that trend is self diagnostics (according to Mintel). Look out for news of devices such as digital microscopes that take detailed pictures of your skin at home so you can stop wondering whether your miracle cream is actually working or not! You will actually be able to track your skin’s progress through microscope pictures and check wrinkles and melanin patches. This is something that is definitely coming here although goodness knows when.

  1. I think I’ll pass on the face mister. I really dislike face sprays or spritzes as they are already – they always deposit way too much product and feel like someone’s just sneezed in my face. No, thank you.

  2. Glad the links were helpful 🙂
