Shiseido Lacquer Gloss SS14

Oh hello, Shiseido Spring 2014! Cleverly predicting or luckily guessing Pantone’s colour of the year (which for 2014 is Radiant Orchid) with these gorgeous glosses. Above is Nebula; a perfect blend of pink and purple with a creamy element. I’m actually really looking forward to trying this out as a colour as it’s not really a tone I’ve experimented with before.

There is also the forthcoming Phantom shade in more of a violet tone – again, I’d normally steer clear of this kind of shade but I’m absolutely up for experimenting with it. Shiseido glosses are definitely worth a look because they contain a lip smoothing complex and if there’s one thing that gloss loves, it’s a smooth lip. Both these shades are £21 each but they don’t launch til March so plenty of time to get your head round a violet lip shade! I’ll have swatches up soon.

I can’t wait to see the swatches of this, as it’s actually my wedding colour. Not that I want to match everything to my colour scheme, but I think this lip colour could be just the ticket.

  2. I definitely like this radiant orchid trend! I find purples are best for me but I don’t like them too dark. I might just get this one.

Oh, how lovely. I love all purple, violet, lilac tones. I will definitly try them when they launch. I do have the purpely lipstick from Makeup Forever and I love it. Am thinking of ordering the purpely ones from Illamasqua as well. Gorgeous colours. I really like the colour of the year!
