Shellac Manicure by Marian Newman

If you are the slightest bit interested in nails, you will have heard of Marian Newman, one of the most sought after nail stylists in the world. Although I’ve been a fan of Marian for a long time, I’d never actually met her until today. It was like my birthday getting the goddess of nails painting me a beautiful Shellac shade called Tropix that is every inch a true coral and fits right in to the 70’s vibe going on. Shellac is super-glossy – my nails look amazing (which is saying something – I haven’t done any nail posts for a while because they have been in such a state of disrepair) and it’s a colour I can live quite happily with for the natural lifespan of Shellac which is two weeks.

Actually, there were 24 colours to choose from – some really beautiful nude shades (look out for Beau and Romantique), but in the end opted for the hot shade.

In the capable hands of the actual, actual Marian Newman!

Yummy! I have a similar colour on my toes now! It’s not as lovely and vivid as yours though.

  3. OMG that colour is to DIE for! I have a few corals but they all lean towards the orangey-red kind…. this is just the colour I’m after but can’t seem to find. Gorgeous!

    You lucky thing!

I offer Shellac and it’s such a great product! I hope you enjoy =). x

Now that’s not coral as I tend to think of it. I’m with Pandora who mentioned it looking orange. I love orange, but not for lips or nails, but THAT ….. THAT I would definitely wear. Is Shellac a salon-only brand?

  6. Hi there..thanks for comments..love this manicure..might even be my favourite ever. Ali, it really is quite corally.. I put it next to a (proper) coral bracelet and the colours are very close x

  7. My colleague at work is currently wearing the same colour – it’s really lush!

I love Shellac – it’s one of those rare products that does exactly as it promises.

Could be tempted with this colour, it’s lovely & bright 🙂
