Sensai Lasting Plump Lipstick

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] A juicy lipstick is an absolute joy and I love the comfort and shine I get from the new Sensai Lasting Plump Lipsticks. Sensai are very much following through with their eco mission – you buy the lipstick holder (£12) and then purchase any colours as refills.

The shades are interesting too – I wouldn’t say that the colour you see in the bullet is always exactly as you expect on the lip which is why swatches are so useful. These lipsticks have a glorious balmy quality that feels instantly at home home on the lip. The blurb says that the brand prioritises hydration and I can see and feel that is the case. Above from left to right are: LP11 Feminine Rose, LP05 Light Coral and LP01 Ruby Red.

And again, left to right: LP08 Terracotta Red, LP09 Vermillion Red and LP06 Shimmer Nude. Each refill is £32 and I think the reason that they’re called ‘plumping’ is because they truly are hydrating and well moisture balanced lips do look more full than dry ones.

This is Feminine Rose which is great example of how luminous this lipstick really is – it just brings light to the lips without feeling heavy or gloopy.

This is Terracotta Red which I didn’t think I’d like but do. I’ve got a reel up on Instagram that shows you all the shades HERE. Otherwise, please head to Harrods HERE.

Did you find it difficult to keep the lipstick in one piece when inserting it into the holder? I’ve just bought the holder and a refil but the lipstick inside was just a sludgy mess.

No, that definitely didn’t happen with me. That’s really strange. It sounds like it got too hot somewhere along the line. x

I just tried shimmer rose and light coral at the makeup counter on my lips. I loved them both. For reference I am NW20 and have green eyes and fair skin and warm toned blond hair. Nude rose is out of stock everywhere but I saw a sample but didnt try it on my lips. Though it looked more cool toned (need to try it on lips once available again) but I tend to gravitate towards more warm toned lipsticks. Light coral really livens up my face and it is especially nice for spring and summer, shimmer nude was very pretty all year round colour. My boyfriend thought light coral was the one but I’d love to get them both! 😀
