Wow.. I’m so impressed with the Schwarzkopf Essence Ultime Crystal Shine Finishing Oil (try saying that with a Malteser in your mouth) and also the Essence Ultime Omega Repair Intensive Mask – I used both at the weekend and got wow shine. Crystal Shine is indicated for dull and normal hair – and that’s pretty much how I would describe mine – dull and normal. Totally average hair! I use Olia to home-dye it and that process does knock the shine down a bit, so I’m always looking to add extra gleam.
My key test for a repair mask is that it rinses away easily – thick products that take hours in the shower to cleanse away are an absolute no-no for me, and it used to be that it was only the really high end brands that came up with the easy rinse formulas. Now, as this proves, it’s much easier to get a quality, easy-rinse mask than it ever used to be. This range has been developed with Claudia Schiffer which I could not care less about but take it from me these are high end products at very purse friendly prices.
So, a little more about Schwarzkopf Essence Ultime Crystal Shine Finishing Oil – it reminds me greatly of Kerastase Crystaliste Perfecting Essence – I used it on my hair post conditioning mask and post blow dry as a finisher. While the mask had already proved its worth by leaving my hair in much better condition than it started, the Finishing Oil bumped up the shine. I’m so happy with these products because I wasn’t left wondering whether they had or hadn’t worked for me. There was just no doubt.
The usual price for Crystal Shine Finishing Oil is £5.50 which I think is a positive bargain anyway, but it’s on offer at Superdrug HERE for £3.49. The mask, astonishingly, is the same price – £3.49 HERE. I notice that Superdrug has free postage on orders over £10.
