Remember the smell of a new doll? That’s exactly what Sanctuary Spa Sleep Comfort Night Butter smells of to me! New dolly with a little bit of lavender thrown in for good measure. I can’t imagine how it happened that something that is supposed to smell relaxing and help you to sleep ended up smelling of plastic, but it does.
There is actually a candle – I forget the brand – designed to smell like a brand new Barbie so there’s clearly a market for dollyfume! Other than the strange smell, the balm is very soft, sinks into the skin quickly with no tackiness (I notice it has mango seed butter and apricot kernel oil) and is quite skin softening. If you don’t mind taking to your bed smelling like a Kewpie.
