Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nails Strips

Okay, so we are used to Minx nails and nail foils already, but Sally Hansen’s collection, due to launch in the states in March time is really pretty fabulous. They’re embedded with real nail polish and are designed to mimic the whole salon effects nails thing. I’ve tried foils and nail stickers before (seem to remember having to heat my nails with a hairdryer – very tedious) and just don’t seem to have the ability to file them off with any precision so the jury is still out on whether they’ll actually live up to expectations.

The strips apparently last 10 days and are DBP, toluene and formaldehyde free…expect to see designs in neon, high shine patterns and metallics..all for under $10 a set (containing 16 strips in case you go horribly wrong on a few nails and need another go).

I’ll be surprised if we don’t get them here at some point, but will check for sure when the press office is open again.

These would be so cool if they work, I really hope they do. Sometimes I’m complete rubbish at doing my nails and I can never make any sort of cool designs so this would be perfect for me. Thanks for the info 🙂

  2. These look interesting, nice designs too! I’ve been looking into nail stickers lately because I’ve developed an allergy to nail polish -_- Need a good alternative!

I just found these in Iowa a couple days ago and thought “oh, that’s neat!” and bought some. I, um, basically have retarded hands, so I have a VERY hard time with regular polish (and I’m really impatient, so the dry time kills me, too). These took about 15 minutes to put on, and I think they look really cute. I did the zebra print. Instructions are VERY simple and easy to follow. I’d recommend using a plastic cuticle stick instead of the wood one that they come with, though. The wood snagged some of the edges and made them a little jagged. The file that come sin the package isn’t that great, either, so might want to use a different one.

  8. I don’t like too much too much design for nail… but ya a little glamor look is ok!!!
