Yet another skin care range? Looks like it, but this one has really caught my eye because it is from the team that brought us NUDE skin care… and one of my all time favourite facial oils (Replenishing Night Oil). Expectations are high for S5; they claim to be the first organic cosmeceutical range, but I am sure in the recesses of my mind I’ve heard that before. Nonetheless, it looks like a very exciting range launching in August at Selfridges.
Part of the USP with S5 is the notion that inflammation is responsible for ageing.. they call it ‘inflammaeging’ – a term I don’t think I could dislike more if I tried.. but their stats I very much do like. Using Antarctic Glycoproteins, S5 have clinicals that say this anti-ageing substance can reduce wrinkles depth by 44% and increase collagen production by 128%. Wow.
Serums are looking like the £50 mark, with a cleanser coming in at £32. I’m definitely giving this one a go.. organic or not, the claims come from a very reliable formulator (Laura Rudoe, also formulator and owner of Evolve skin care and original formulator for NUDE) so can’t be dismissed. Really looking forward to giving this one a go.
