[productsample/affiliate] I wonder if you remember the Mermaid collection from Rodin last year – so pretty – illustrated by Donald Robertson. Well, he’s back and *that* gorgeous oil is back with the Goddess Aurora collection, inspired by Linda Rodin’s love of Italy.
I find tri-phase products absolutely fascinating – and I never want to shake them up and ruin the effect. However, you have to if you want all the best aspects of the oil, but they do spring back so you can just gaze all over again. When it’s shaken it turns a pink grapefruit kind of shade. The fragrance is mimosa and bergamot but I don’t find the scent strong at all. It’s really a joy of an oil to use, but at £65 it really should be. My skin feels immediately softened from it and if you can’t be bothered with having to work an oil into your skin, don’t worry, you don’t have to with this. It’s really like a silk film over your skin that needs barely any attention.
As well as a couple of luminizing products, there are also two vibrant lipsticks – and if you’ve seen previous posts, you’ll know that I rate Rodin lipsticks very highly for their softness and pigment concentration. The pink shade is Winks, and the pink/coral is Arancia Adore. They’re £28 each but definitely feel like absolute treats on the lips.
The lipsticks have kind of fruity scent – it’s not unpleasant. You can find everything at Liberty HERE. Non aff is HERE.

The lipsticks look different from the originals..more matte? And a new scent instead of the jasmine and rose oils? They have sure repositioned the brand (youthwards) in the market, since Linda Rodin left. Still….’Winks’ (the pink lipstick) is her beloved dog, so she’s not forgotten!
Well, now it’s 2023 and the entire brand has been discontinued for the last couple of years. Clearly, Estee Lauder had no clue and gradually ran it into the ground. They didn’t realize that unlike Bobbi Brown, Linda WAS the brand. Without her, Olio Lusso had no iconic glamour, identity or direction.
Yes indeed – plenty of examples have gone before – Liz Earle, Jennine Lobel of Stila and so on…
