Rituals Private Collection Candles

Rituals Private Collection Candles
Rituals Private Collection Candles

I haven’t reviewed anything from Rituals for ages, so it seems timely to have some candles when all of our Christmas candles have burned away and something fresher is needed. I’m really impressed with the Private Collection set for being beautifully aromatic and a clean-looking presence.

This set is four small candles and each one different; Holy Basil, Goji Berry, Tiger Grass & Green Cardamom. I would have to admit that I couldn’t pick Tiger Grass out of a scented line up – no clue what that smells like in real life, but it’s kind of like sweet hay. Goji is light and fruity, Green Cardamon is fresh and a tiny bit spicy but my favourite is Holy Basil which I have on the burn at the moment. It’s warm and fresh at the same time. I’m not really getting any anise which can be a feature of holy basil.

You’re not going to get billows of fragrance from these – they’re lightly aromatic so perfect for smaller rooms and those who don’t like a wall of fragrance to knock you sideways. Actually, I thought they’d be nice as a gift because there is nothing not to like – there’s always someone you have to gift but don’t have a real sense of their preferences and it’s things like the Rituals Private Collection Candles with great presentation and stylish non-intrusiveness that are good for those occasions. The set is £29 HERE.

  1. I love candles… I discover these ones before Christmas at a rituals’ store, but I had the feeling that they were too little and cute to be lighted on. I’d use them for decoration mainly.

By the way, very nice blog! I found it thanks to the Fashion and Beauty Monitor about the rise on influencer’s marketing.

  2. These sound lovely and I think £29 is really reasonable. I’ve not replaced my Christmas candles yet so I might pick these up!
