Ordinarily, I’d put this in the same category as perfumed drawer liners, lavender sachets and plug-in house scents – none of which I’d use. I fragrance rooms with candles, occasionally spritz a bit of Jo Malone on linens and have been known to add some perfumed water to the steam iron to freshen clothes. But I have never, ever fragranced my car.

However, I’m quite taken with this unobtrusive gadget – the scent is light and milky; mine is Sakura Cherry Blossom and Rice Milk and it’s very pretty. Assuming that it’s not overwhelming, and it doesn’t seem as though it will be, I think I won’t mind getting the odd whiff of blossoms while driving. There is nothing synthetic about the scent and while I am not a fragrance snob by any means, I draw the line at strawberry shaped and smelling dangly cardboard things.

It’s £7.50 HERE.
