I haven’t done a give-away for ages, but this one is too good to miss.
As you probably realise, backstage at The Brits Spa it is a frenzy of beautifying, primping and prepping and as ever, nails are in the spotlight. Nail artist, Jenny Longworth, who works with Revlon, has created some very cool designs to capture five musical genres; pop, rock, soul, indie and urban. And of course, no nail creation is complete with a mood board.

This is the Revlon Brits Mood Board, created by Jason Brooks (amazing illustrator of Hed Kandi fame) with five muses each wearing a different nail look. And that’s the giveaway – a signed, framed Mood Board print of the nail look for the Brits 2013, next Wednesday. There will only be two of these in existence, so it’s really something special.
We’ll also throw in the five key shades of Revlon polish used to create the mood board, some files and a top coat, too!
So, what I’d like to know from you is what colour puts you in a fabulous mood, and why?
This give-away closes at 8pm on Monday 18th February and is open to UK only. Jenny Longworth will pick her favourite answer and I will notify you by Twitter (please leave your twitter name with your entry) as soon as she has picked one. If you do not have Twitter, you can email your answer to britishbeautyblogger@gmail.com.

RED! It’s girly, yet mature.. feminine, yet sexy… glamorous, yet professional. The perfect colour.
i feel at my best in blue – usually on the darker spectrums, navy and such. 🙂 red is a power colour i pull out for job interviews and such.
Hot pink is always guaranteed to put me in a fabulous mood, no matter what the weather is like, what’s going around me or what the day throws at me, hot pink is perfect pick-me-up!
@HazelxJoy
Has to be pastel blue. Reminds me of blue skies, days on the beach, a clear head and those spring/ summer floaty dresses, that make you feel,young and girly! 🙂

I love teal as i like that it is dark and therefore looks sophistciated but also more fun than just black. Maria_D94
Red because you can dress it up or down. It’s one of those staple shades every girl needs and it just makes me feel put together. @bicky__
Oooh, such a fab giveaway! Coral puts me in an amazing mood because it reminds me of lounging around on Miami beach! I SO want to go back! @xcourtz x
Purple puts me in the best mood I find it such a peaceful and tranquil colour it always looks nice on me when I wear it and really compliments my skin. I think it’s also because my grandma and me are very close and here favourite colour is purple and she always wears it so it reminds me of here and my happiest moments are with her 🙂 @itsnnnickyb coleoftheball at gmail dot com
sunny orange, reminds me of the summer, warmth and happy hollidays
@susan1375
I adore bright oranges because they look great with pretty much anything, set off a tan perfectly, elongate hands and help set off my favourite colour turquoise. Oranges aren’t just for summer, they’re for all year round! @lbqblog
This is a lovely competition! I find that the soft and elegant characteristics of peachy pale pink seem to put a smile on my face, probably because wearing something light and feminine seems to make me feel that little bit prettier!

Nude! Need I say more??!!!
Seriously though it can make me feel bohemian (a lovely chiffon nude maxi skirt and florals!) , sexy (a nude body con dress with heels) , professional (nude nails are the best with some white nailart!) and best of all it goes with anything!
All these make me feel fabulous and confident with my look plus I can never get bored with it , which trust me, is hard as I love to change my look and mood daily!

Classic Pillarbox red makes me feel super glam – I tend to save it for special occasions where I need an extra confidence boost! @beautylovenotes
It’s definitely got to be yellow. Not to everyone’s cup of tea, but who cares – it makes me think of sunshine, holidays and (fake) tans. Got some on now to kid myself it’s not freezing cold and snowing! @melbobmace
Essie’s tart deco, such a lovely spring shade
You know this might sound really weird but a really deep grape purple! just because its so “fashiony” and so just wow! haha
@andrewjames
Deep purples, they make me feel glam and vampy, like I could take over the world, like I’m capable of everything and anything! Plus it’s my favourite colour 😉 @bedinthekitchen
It’s got to be orange. Makes me feel bright and sunny and confident. I love orange Gel nails, and am going to be experimenting with a spring lip colour too. Good to see orange return for another season. @chicfantastique x
Definitely pink! It’s such a happy and girly colour and never fails to cheer me up and I also think it’s really flattering
@whokilledlola
Yellow reminds me of sunshine
Orange, its bright and fills me with joy!
Make up wise pink is my absolute favourite colour. I’m all about the bright-eyed and bushy tailed look and pink blusher and pink lips suit me down to the ground. In terms of clothes black, without a doubt. It is the ultimate in class and sophistication and always, always looks good. (@girlwithmakeup)
A true, pillarbox red with an extra glossy top coat. It makes me feel confident, in control and perfectly together. My power colour!
Twitter name is @truetastes.
I like bright colours, especially coral! It just makes me happy, and looks especially good with a tan @christinaadores
When I want to get ahead then it’s any shade of red but when I feel I need a rest then a calming pink is best.
Nude. I think that makeup and nail polishes should highlight the beauty that you already possess, emphasise it and make others aware of it. Having a lovely nude colour on my lips or nails doesn’t control them or change them, it simply helps me be that bit more fabulous, without necessarily depending on a colour scheme to evoke this sentiment.
@sophieahutchins
Deep reds make me feel fabulous! I’m a wall flower without it and a red hot vixen with it! Strange how the right colour can change your persona xx @ypudsvintage
Gold.. a bit of glitz and glammer can always boost a girls mood! Whether its a night with the girls or romance with a partner. Makes me feel feminine and confident! & every girl needs sparkle.
@EloraDora
I have two colors I like very much. The first one is pink, it makes me happy and energetic. It is so girly and peps up almost every outfit.
The second one is a dark turqouis (quite similar to the “Indie” one one the mood board) which I find a very sexy, seductive and mysterious color. Actually… I think I will go and buy a new one right away ! =)
@SasuGyaru
Peach because it reminds me of spring/summer when you have a gorgeous tan. It is bright, girly and flattering and just makes me want to jet away on holiday to somewhere exotic.
@glamupeveryday
Purple. All shades. Dark, light. It is an spiritual color.
A powder blue, it reminds me of summer days BBQ’s and sandals. Bliss.
@magicmoondust, sorry was too busy dreaming of summer
Neon ANYTHING!
I change my nail colour almost everyday or at least every other day and although it might take me a while to pick a shade I know that if I put on a neon or at least a very bright colour, I’ll be a happy bunny.
I’ve never painted my nails neon and then thought it was a bad idea. It catches the eye and is a conversation starter at least!

Something bright and summer-y like Barry M’s Mint Green. It’s a lovely pastelly but bright colour and it can add a bit of summer and fun to any outfit! I always feel a bit happier when I’m wearing this shade. It makes me think of a holiday to Spain and lovely fruity cocktails.. and who doesn’t want either of those things?!

I am a lover of bright colours to keep cheerful- reds, pinks and purples. I love silver jewellery too. Happy mind and body makes you a more happy person.
Turquoise great colour when your feeling down it just picks me right up its bright it vibrant and makes me think of somewhere exotic it also makes me wish I had a cocktail in my hand to match 🙂 @xxxminniexxx
Black always puts me in a good mood – its always been my favourite colour. I love dark fantasy and dark imagery and do throw a bit of red or purple in there as well from time to time. I’m also heavily into punk, rock and heavy metal, black is the colour of choice for those of us on the dark side of music. Of course, being in need of losing a pound or 50. black is slimming as well and that definitely puts me in a good mood ;o)
gold!
makes anything look more luxurious and glamorous…plus I sing spandau ballet in my head whenever i see it, which always brightens up a dismal day.
@BethGraceWalton
My favourite nail colour is actually grey! Grey is such a multi-functional colour….it is suitable for all settings whether you are at work, a party or just day to day things! The colour goes with any outfit of any colour and it always gives a professional but chic look 😉
The colour of pink rubies is just divine, the colour is so versatile – it can look sexy or it can look classy, or it can look young and playful. Especially with a bit of sparkle 😉 I can never be sad with gorgeous pink ruby nails! @squigglyee xx
It might seem cliche but red is my favourite colour (a really great blue based red, almost a blood red). Red lips and nails are my signature, my friends make fun of me for ensuring my red lips are in place for going grocery shopping but it just makes me feel like me! I always say that a great red lip/red nail combo is like a power tie for a man. With the perfect shade of red I hold my head up high and present myself to the world, I’m stomping all over the place, London is my city to conquer!
@squarrell
red because it makes you stand out xx
Green: it’s the colour of my eyes, grass, emeralds and chocolate lime sweeties (my favourites!) It’s the colour of springtime, new things and freshness. It can also be mysterious and dark. It cheers me up so much to wear green clothes or shoes or jewellery or make up. It can be a little bit quirky, a little bit glam or as fresh as a daisy. There’s a green to suit all days, moods and occasions. I love it! (@MissKazzieB)
Poppy ! Always put me in a great mood when i remember that this was the colour i had on my nails when i first had my daughter in my hands. Always brings that precious touch back in my life !!!!
@KamranSobia
My favourite colour has to be purple/dark purple as it is a very large feminine appeal to it and is therefore closely associated with romance. This colour signifies balance and mystical qualities and it can calm the mind and encourage creativity. Hence why i LOVE this colour as it can be sexy, sleek and professional. This colour seems to go with any outfit which is handy, also making my hands look skinny 😉
@nishasharmax
golden sun shine yellow happy days lying on the beach
Coral! It’s just fun and really wearable, reminds me off summer too 🙂 @JudithK111
Green… Any shade of green.
A bright and rich green reminds me of nature and spring.
A pale moss or mint green conjures a calm and serene atmosphere.
Whereas deep teals and forest greens make me feel confident and elegant.
And emerald green is powerful and royal.
If I am wearing green, I feel I am ready for anything.
@HollyPedley
Yellow – it’s bright, funky and even when it’s raining reminds me of sunshine – a beautiful colour guarenteed to put me in a good mood!
@SRaiytt
Letterbox Red always puts me in a fab mood. It’s grown up, glam and oh so sexy, I can’t fail to feel gorgeous

Orange! ORANGE ORANGE ORANGE makes me feel happy and bright and warm and bouncy and great! Even on the dullest day, wearing an orange top makes me feel like the sun is out!

Orange always makes me feel happy – brings back memories of hot dusty spicy days in Marrakech, the smell of suntan lotion, having a fabulous tan, a cooling plate of orange slices sprinkled with cinnamon on a bed of mint leaves… Orange heaven! @lizc72
I really like sky blue. Its a refreshing, cool colour that is perfect in any season. It also goes with almost anything, either as a pop of colour against a plainer outfit, or as a clash against other colours like coral or red 😀 @holly_allison
