I’m currently testing Revlon Beyond Natural Foundation and Beyond Natural Mascara; both available in the UK from March. The Foundation is amazing – it comes out of the tube white and colours to your own skintone as you apply it. Although I don’t believe in the ‘magic’ tone-adjusting hype (I’m sure its a question of heat activation and precision pigment), it is a great weight, falling somewhere between a heavy tinted moisturer and a true foundation, and what is pretty amazing is that it feels completely weightless. The colour ‘adjustment’ of the Medium foundation works well for me, and I’ve used it 4 days in a row; testament to it’s efficacy as I can’t normally be moved from my Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser for more than a minute! The mascara is also an impressive product – giving excellent coverage and fantastic separation for spiky, non-clumpy lashes that look longer and thicker with one stroke. The foundation will retail for approx 10 pounds and the mascara approx 7 pounds, making this range a fabulous credit crunch option. I’m loving Revlon more and more as a mass brand that behaves like a luxury one.
