REN Instant Lift Moisture Shot

I love a lab sample – and that’s exactly what I’ve got here. It’s REN’s next biggie (and doesn’t come out for ages, I might add) but I really like the idea of a ‘shot’ of moisture. It sounds pretty powerful.

The idea behind REN Instant Lift Moisture Shot is that you pat it into your skin where you feel you need a bit of a boost and a little bit ‘tauter’. I have to be truthful and say that I didn’t look ten years younger. However, the science, which I’ll explain as best I can, is based around Hyalurons. Hyaluronic acid is a big hydrator and water binder; the way that REN has it formulated it also works to improve cell cohesion, which in itself should provide a tightening effect on the skin.

My skin loves Hyaluronic acid and any derivatives thereof – there’s no doubt that it is better with Hyaluronic acid than without, so my preferred way of using Instant Lift Moisture Shot is to put it on under moisturiser and then apply make up on top. It’s just softening, somehow, without – on me, at least – a dramatically wind tunnel effect in terms of tightening. I’d say it’s best for skin that’s showing first signs of ageing as a perk up rather than making serious inroads into loss of firmness that happens further down the line.

I’m currently obsessed with REN V-Cence Flash Rinse – it’s honestly my perfect facial boost because it really does take only a minute to exfoliate and brighten the skin with water activated Vitamin C. If you’re a city dweller with that grey cast you don’t know you have until you don’t have it, you will love this! It launched literally yesterday HERE for £32 – and I cannot recommend highly enough.
