REN Glow & Protect Serum

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad/priorad] Since I’ve never met a REN product that I didn’t get along with, I feel confident with their newest launch, REN Glow & Protect Serum. I noticed that India Knight featured their Keep Young & Beautiful Instant Beauty Shot a couple of weeks ago, and while it’s a very, very good product that does give you an almost instant skin perk up (like Clarins Flash Balm but better), I hate the name. India didn’t like it either – what’s ‘young’ got to do with anything? Time for a re-name that doesn’t imply you can’t be one without the other.

REN Glow & Protect

So, the new serum is a combination of three types of vitamin C, glycogen (a form of energising glucose)and hyaluronic acid that will make light work of pigmentation and lacklustre skin. One of REN’s big strengths is that they confidently give you a timeline to work with – so their claim for this is that you will see a difference in your skin within two weeks. That’s a very manageable frame for these impatient times – I’ve always had a bit of a brow raise when brands say you need to wait three months to see anything …. who can remember what their skin looked like three months ago? Not me, and certainly not the minutiae of every pore. I see two weeks as achievable goal and assessment point. Glow & Protect is for you if your skin is lacking moisture and lacking vitality but you don’t want to go down the retinol route. It’s a formula made to mimimise the chance of any irritation despite having some punchy ingredients and will give you plenty of antioxidant protection.

REN Glow & Protect

I’m still really blown away by the fully recyclable samples – REN have led the way with these aluminium tubes, made from recycled aluminium which can then be further recycled endlessly. I’d love to see some try-me sets with a row of tubes …that’s got to be on the cards, right? In the main picture, I’ve shown the REN Evercalm Ultra Comforting Rescue Mask which has been a saviour (along with the balm) after my neck treatment. My neck is only just starting to feel normal after the microneedling/radio frequency session and I have needed to hydrate relentlessly. It’s a big recommend from me because it is literally like water on a parched plant – you can see your skin bloom back to life. It’s HERE. The new REN Glow & Protect is £50 HERE. I’ve checked everywhere and there are no offers on G&P but the mask is an offer with £11 off the £34 price.

I am new to REN skincare products.
I am forty eight, diligent with my skincare and approach aging that it’s a factor of life but I am going to do my best to pro-age gracefully.
My skin does not respond well to retinol…I keep trying and my skin responds with a great big hell no.
I started using Ren retinoid oil.
I am really impressed with the results. I’m into my first month but my skin has responded very well.
I couldn’t find a vitamin c serum that my skin loved and Ren Youth Glow another winner…glowing, even and radiant…. before the two weeks results promise.
I have been pleasantly surprised with Ren products…a fantastic fluke purchase!

REN doesn’t really go too far wrong with their skin care – there are several products from them that are, for me, holy grail and in particular their Evercalm range.
