Right, so my current hairdryer has been overheating almost to the point of throwing fireballs, so the time had to come to change it. I’d had it for years and was very, very fond of it. In the nick of time, I was given a Remington Pearl to test for this blog – it’s launching in July. Because hair isn’t really my thing, I don’t take much notice of technology – I just want it to dry my hair without my arm feeling like its going to fall off by the end – but The Pearl Pro has a ceramic-pearl grill to cut out static and 90% more ions (they don’t say than what!). Mainly, it ticks all the boxes..superfast drying with a properly hot setting and it’s lightweight enough to banish shoulder ache. Given that it’s got as much technology – if not more – that more expensive brands, I feel a little bit smug that I’ve found one for £34.99. You should know that my last hair dryer cost £125 and I really can’t tell the difference between the two. There is also a Straightener in the range…I’m still loving my Cloud 9’s so haven’t tested that out yet, and also a curling wand.

Sounds great, I’m in the market for a new dryer too. I’ve got curly hair and the diffuser looks good, can you please tell me what the low heat / low speed settings are like? Thank you!
