Pacifica is such a great brand, and quite hard to find, too, and falls into the ‘natural’ camp, being free from phthalates, parabens, sulfates and all the other things natural skin care lovers want nowhere near their skin. For me, the draw is the amazing scents – this mango and grapefruit soap is so delicious – a proper burst of energising fragrance – that hand washing is an absolute pleasure. I’m really pleased that MyBeautyEmporium has sourced this brand.
They’re also on the ball with the upsurge in interest in French skin care brands (coinciding incidentally in a downturn in interest in American brands, I’m told) with Inedit – this Soft Exfoliating Face Gel is a dream to use and I love the packaging – £8 for three doses. Inedit is pronounced I Need It. Sorry, it’s always going to be In Edit for me.
Finally, this neutral gloss from Cheeky Cosmetics. I’m a little bit love-hate with this one – it’s SO flipping minty that it’s off-putting for people like me who don’t like mint (although I love spearmint) and there’s no way I could put it anywhere near my mouth. But, on the other hand, it’s a rather beautiful, shimmering neutral… Cheeky is mainly minerals, and I’m so not a fan, but if you are a mineral make up lover, look out for on-trend-for-spring Lemon Frosting (but just don’t sneeze anywhere near it).
