Pop Laces

Pop Laces
Pop Laces

A really quick, off-message post about these amazing laces – I came across them at a launch yesterday. Bottom line is that you lace up your shoes once and because of the stretchy nature of the laces, you never have to do it again because once laced, the stretch allows your trainers to expand (and go back) to the original shape and tightness of your trainer.

Just thinking that there is a huge amount of scope here for those with disabilities or the less dexterous – particularly the elderly – no more fiddling about with blimming laces! Much as I love the neon, there’s definitely room for regular black or brown laces with this concept.

Clever stuff. Find Poplaces HERE. There is also a selection of kind-to-hair stretchy ties.. doubling as a bracelet if you can’t decide whether to tie your hair up before you go out.

These are fab! I have left my trainers pre-tied for years. It’s not that I can’t do laces but on bad days my fingers do struggle and I’d just really rather not struggle with them. These would make it soo much easier so that the shoes would go back in to shape!

  2. These look great!! I’ve just ordered some. I’ve been looking everywhere for bands that wont kink my hair that aren’t 80’s style scrunchies! xx

  3. They sound so cool! Laces are so annoying x

  7. Brilliant! My daughter can’t do her laces yet and these will enable her to wear lace-ups, instead of having to search out bumpers with velcro. Equally, I will get white ones for my 80-year old Mum, who has arthritis and can’t do fiddly things with her fingers.
I’ve passed the link on to my friends who work with people who have special needs, too.
    Thanks very much!

  8. Also really handy for pregnant women who can no longer reach their feet 🙂 xx
