Another big, fat yes from the weekend is this gorgeous hair oil from Phyto. The absolute genius of this is that it is a pre-shampoo oil so you can condition your hair before you get anywhere near the shower and totally avoid that time-munching ‘conditioning mask’ thing. I hate washing, putting on a mask, getting out of the shower for half an hour only to have to get back in to rinse and start the whole tedious process again.
Subtil Elixir contains egg yolk oil (apparently it is rich in vitamins A and E), corn germ oil, camelia oil and karanja oil. Whatever’s in it, it washed out beautifully and the end result was soft, glossy hair – but best of all, soft, glossy hair without a massive time penalty. It’s £24.50 from John Lewis and worth every last penny!
