P&G Social Star Award

Okay, so here it is.. my first ever industry award for BBB! Definitely worth the five year wait because it’s made of hand cut paper with such intricate details – perfume bottles and a type-writer – I mean how do you even start to cut that out of paper?!

It was totally unexpected and I was given the award very graciously by Jo Whiley who might have said #emotional after I’d said a few words. Because it was a little bit emotional (though I’d obviously deny under close questioning ;-)) as it’s such of a symbol of how far blogging has come. The Social Star award didn’t even exist this time last year. We really have changed the landscape of beauty from how it’s viewed to how it’s bought to how it’s talked about and personally, that means the world to me.

So thank you to P&G for recognising what we do and thank you to everyone within the industry who voted for me to win it. I might have waited a long time for this but it was worth it, definitely.
