Spearmint doesn’t crop up in candles all that often so Petits Rituels Minty Bonbon is a bit of a find for anyone who doesn’t like a very sharp mint scent and prefers the sweeter version of spearmint. It’s combined with lemongrass in this highly scented candle – it might be small but it certainly packs a punch.
Personally, I could have done without the lemongrass, but that’s just my preference. What the combination boils down to is a very minty lemon-herb scent that’s has a slightly clinical backdrop. What I mean by that is it smells to me like freshly cleaned bathroom – quite an energic fragrance that is zesty and invigorating.
There are four candles (insert Two Ronnies joke here) in the new Petits Rituels range, all with a 15 hour burn time. You don’t need to burn for long – half an hour was plenty of time in my kitchen. Also joining Minty Bonbon is Fleur Boisee (rose geranium, lavender and petitgrain), Orange Gourmande (rose geranium and sweet orange) and Provence (lavender, rose geranium and ylang ylang). They’re priced at £15 each and launch today HERE.
