I don’t even know who Paul is and have only really come across this brand while wandering through Selfridges, but what I do know is that I LOVE patent, and particularly nude patent shades. I can see this looking equally fab with jeans and a shirt or with a summer dress; it’s a dusky pinky-nude patent that’s really, really pretty – I find with nude patent shoes that if it goes too flesh-toned it starts to look a little bit ‘false limb’ which is just a bit creepy unless you do actually have a false limb. This bag is the right shade of nude to go with just about anything, and easily translatable for winter as well with the coffee shade details. At £61 it doesn’t fall into the stupid-money-for-a- bag category and looks pretty expensive. It’s HERE

These bags give me PTSD. I worked in a department store in the handbags section and every ten minutes some little brat would come in to buy one of these as a schoolbag. £61 on a schoolbag? Yup. You’d better believe it. Those kids were so spoilt that it made me feel ill.

These are literally the most hated bags in the UK. I would advise anyone to stay away from Pauls Boutique

I used to love PB handbags due to their edgy styles and at a cost of a fraction of the price of the high end designer bags that sport the same kind of design. However, i realised that the prices have increased quite a bit and now it is just way too much for them now.
Thanks for sharing, and i do love a bit of patent too =) -
I would love a PB bag but I just can’t bring myself to get something that spoilt brats use as schoolbags. This one does look a little classier than the usual zebra/leopard print fare though.

I agree with Anonymous, I go to the kind of school where in mufti day it’s jack wills and Abercrombie everywhere and Paul’s Boutique is a favourite among a certain kind of girl. I just can’t stand the brand because if those associations.

Wow.. I genuinely had no idea that this brand carries so many connotations..I had no clue at all! I kind of feel put off it myself now.

Say it ain’t so! I love that bag! Since there are no snot nosed brats associated with it here in the states I would gladly pay 61£ for a smart bag like that.
I’m just sayin….. -
I’ve never heard of this brand, have never seen a schoolgirl carry one (maybe we’re a bit behind over here?!) and think it looks way more expensive than it is. I love it!!

Surprised you haven’t heard of Paul’s Boutique – Just stand outside a secondary school for a couple of minutes and you will see tons of them!
It’s a shame really because I adore everything about this bag! -
Oh my gosh what a beautiful bag
-
That’s much nicer than their usual range which seem to be barely disguised Louis Vuitton knock offs. Not sure I’d pay that much for that brand though.

I have a ‘Holly’ Paul’s Boutique Bag in Navy (previously in nude but the strap broke after a month of use and PB was very good at replacing it with no argument!) and even with the sterotype I totally love it. Obviously I take off the tacky charm that comes with it and then it looks like a sophisticated bag. If you avoid anything with serious leopard print (and sometimes zebra) you are safe from the high school comparisons I assure you! 🙂
