Paul & Joe Beaute Summer 2025

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] Japanese made beauty brand, Paul & Joe, has put together a summer edit and if you like whimsy with your sunshine, this could not be more right for you. It’s always the prettiest of make up with so much attention to detail in the packaging but I don’t think there’s anything new-new here because I feel like I’ve seen variants of most of the products before.

See what I mean about being so pretty? Almost worth investing in a dressing table to put the products on. I think my favourite thing from the edit is the Jelly Eye Colour – three options – that comprise shimmer suspended in a cooling gel. One dab on the lids and you have a subtle, summery twinkle that’s so lovely if you want to add a little something.

The shade I have is 002 Fruit Sorbet, £19 HERE – with white, iridescent flakes that melt on the lids. I used my fingertips to apply but make sure you wash the shimmer off your hand before you apply anything else because otherwise you’ll have random sparkly bits on your cheeks or chin.

I’m not wearing any other make up aside from the eye shimmer – in fact, I’ve just taken a full face off. Jelly Eye Colours are a lovely holiday product when it’s too hot for a full look but need to take things up a level for dinner.

One of the products I don’t have much time for is the limited edition packaging loose face powder. Just as well because it doesn’t seem to be in stock. The feel of it is a bit chalk on a blackboard for me – a bit too dry and ‘ricey’ and it actually doesn’t feel particularly fine either. That said, I’d very much recommend the Sun Protection Body Shimmer SPF30 as another holiday – or festival – product. You get some beautiful, miniscule shimmers and a glowy sheen – best of all is the smell which I think is orange blossom and is like beaches and sun tan cream. If you can find it, that is – completely sold out on the Paul & Joe Amazon store but available at this independent store HERE.

You’re in luck if this clever kitty SPF lipstick is calling you. It’s a protecting lip cover with SPF25 – the refill is £11 HERE and the case is £7 HERE. It’s always the same with this brand – it’s dogged by stock issues and limited editions selling out far too quickly. I’m still wistful (despite having two blouses and a bag) for the Uniqlo x Paul & Joe collaboration – I hope they’d do that again soon!
