[unpaid/sample] I’m flagging up the forthcoming Paul & Joe Advent Calendar 2021 in case you feel its worth hanging on for – everywhere I look it’s advent calendars and they’re all so tempting. This one launches on 15th October.
To be honest, this is the one I’m always most curious to see because I love everything whimsical and this always strikes the right note of fun and festive to me. So, without giving away the full contents which is something I prefer not to do in case you are buying for yourself and where is the fun in knowing absolutely everything, I’ve done a snapshot of what you can expect to find. We are picture heavy in this post!
Sorry, but the lambs and bluebirds do it for me! As you can see, it folds out to three sections and there are 24 windows. The cats are Gypsy and Nounette who exist in real life and belong to founder of Paul & Joe, Sophie Mechaly.
This advent really gives you a perfect snapshot of the brand – by general standards, Paul & Joe Beaute is not a big brand so it’s not a stretch to showcase within this 24 window calendar. It’s a value product as most advents are – £98 for £186 worth of product and trust me, everything is a usable product.
It’s an equal (more or less) split between skin care and make-up – I think Paul & Joe skin care is very under-rated and doesn’t get the attention it deserves. Of course the make-up gets the bulk of the attention because it’s so different and so beautiful whereas the body oil (above) that uses a base of the highest quality olive oil and squalane is pretty but not nearly as eye-catching as a cat shaped lipstick!
And, you get something to keep it all in! So many things in this are almost keepsake items from the limited edition lip balm to the sweet little hair clip but its also an intro into some beautiful Japanese skin care. I like this for so many reasons – yes, lambs and kittens, but also a tidy edit of full care for skin, hands, nails and body as well as all you need to stock a make-up bag, barring mascara.
