I’m off to Paris on Friday to preview a new Lancome skincare product but it’s all rather veiled in secrecy other than a teasing reveal that the cream is all about Genomics and Proteomics – eek! It’s the first event targeted at this blog that I’ve accepted – although there have been others (notably a grizzly offer of a blowdry at Bluewater shopping centre on a Saturday night) – because I’ve never wanted to submit to pressure to feature a particular product on these pages. That’s not what blogging should be about. And, it’s why, right now, I don’t accept any advertising. As the only UK blogger going (others are Italian, French, German etc), I’m actually quite excited about bringing back what is hopefully news of a beauty product that nobody else will have yet. Looking through the itinerary, the best thing seems to be a tour around the Lancome boutique something a beautygeek like me will love! I’ve always wanted to get behind a beauty counter but doubt my French is up to more than oui ou non! Secretly, I’m rather terrified that the science will be beyond my limits of comprehension!

ah – enjoy it! We were invited too but couldn’t make it. The product in question arrived on my desk yesterday; looking forward to trialling it.
Not quite the only British beauty blogger there, even though I do live in the land of cheese and wine now 😀 Lovely to meet you today.
