This is just absolutely thrilling – that Oscar Pistorius is the face of Thierry Mugler A*Men. And, just look at the image! A double amputee at 11 months old, due to a congential condition, Oscar runs using carbon fibre limbs and is the first ‘disabled’ athlete to win a silver medal in an able bodied world track athletic event.
Recognition of those with any form of disablity is sadly lacking in the world of beauty and grooming and Clarins choice of face for A*Men Pure Shot is just brilliant.

I wholeheartedly applaud this! Amazing guy, amazing athlete and an amazing image. In my opinion, this is certainly a move in the right direction. Totally challenging the conventional images of beauty. I love it! x
Fabulous, other companies should definitely take note 🙂 Jude x @jadlgw
Well done on the choice of a ‘disabled’ person for the campaign. As others have said I hope others take note and follow.
On a shallower note OMG my favourite perfume is Angel and now one for my hubby too *lil happy dance’
I love this. Thanks for making us aware of it 🙂 xx
Well done Clarins! Puts the word “disabled” in a whole new light.
Great postive image.
I saw this a few weeks ago, I’m sure it’s the first time a person with a disability has been used to advertise a perfume.

That’s absolutely wonderful. The ad looks terrific, and I’m sure the fragrance is as well. Bravo, Clarins!
