Origins Drink Up Sugars Hydrating Lip Balm

I often forget about Origins make-up, but they really do have some lovely products (I love their Ginzing Brightening Shadows) and the new Origins Drink Up Sugars Hydrating Lip Balm is no exception. It’s very light feeling on the lip but definitely has a strong hydration quality – better yet, it lasts; it isn’t gone in one lick.

I have Caramel Crush here – a burned sugar shade with some golden glimmery bits. You have to think of Origins Drink Up Sugars Hydrating Lip Balm as a glossy balm with colour rather than a full-on colour so it’s perfect for those who don’t want high pigment on their lips. Bottom line on the ingredients is that it is full of oils – jojoba, apricot kernel and key ingredient, Ximenia Americana seed oil which I hadn’t heard of til now. Apparently, it’s extracted from a South African tree that’s very drought resistant although I don’t know whether that really translates to hydration over and above in a gloss, but I’m not going to argue since the gloss is on my lips right now and feels very nourishing indeed.

Origins Drink Up Sugars Hydrating Lip Balm is a high recommend from me for anyone who suffers with dry lips and finds that regular glosses don’t help the situation at all. And, it doesn’t seem to be minty! You can find the glosses HERE for £16 each.
