As I was swatching the OPI Fifty Shades range, it reminded me of when I was looking for a paint colour for our hall way. Mr BBB was in all kinds of confusion as to why one barely different shade of grey was more desirable than another. I poured over way more than fifty shades of grey that day! Then, I painted the bathroom grey as well, so poor Mr BBB had to go through the whole minutae of greys all over again.

Shades from the top of the wheel to the bottom are: Embrace The Grey, Shine For Me, Dark Side of The Mood, My Silk Tie, Cement The Deal and Romantically Involved. I found with the deeper shades that they’re 3-coaters really to get exactly the depth, and my favourite shade is Embrace The Grey for being edgy and stylish at the same time.

The polishes are £11.95 each but I’d be going for the Mini Nail Lacquer set with all the shades at small sizes – I’m sure there’s some very effective ombre to be done with a whole set, and that will be £19.95.

OPI Fifty Shades launches on January 1st although the film doesn’t hit til February. Plenty of time to perfect the mood.

I think I’m the last (wo)man standing to discover Jamie Dornan (was late to The Fall) but is it just me or does he look like just about every bloke with a bit of a beard? I’ve seen more Dornan-alikes than I can mention. This might be a good post to mention something that happened this week when I was visiting an office for work. The office was boiling so two of us stepped outside to have a diet Coke – as we were standing on the street a black van with a curtained window in the side pulled up right beside us. The lights went on inside the van which meant you could see through the curtain. And you could also see the very ripped man inside stripping off entirely to his pants to get changed. Never had a diet Coke break like it. Merry Christmas me!
