In the nick of time, I’ve managed to get my hands on this brand new to the UK product before it launches this week as an online exclusive at Boots. Its a three-in-one product – SPF, anti-ageing serum and sheer foundation – and is presented as a high-tech double colour swirl in a clear tube. It pumps out as one solid shade however and has no discernable smell. It slightly reminded me of a Flump marshmallow twist in next season’s fashion colours of cream and nude. There is a little bit of confusion about what it actually is: the bottle initially says a ‘colour enhancer’, and further down the packaging, ‘a sheer foundation’ and I suspect thats because the formulation falls between two stools – it edges more into tinted moisturiser territory than anything, and it is very sheer. On application, it feels moisturising and comfortable but I felt the presence of SPF (15) weighs it down a little bit. It’s expensive for an Olay product, at £26.99, but has a high spec ingredients and has been a best seller in the states where it has already launched. Beauty products don’t become best sellers unless they’re working over and above expectations, so on that alone, it seems promising. Evening out skin tone, making lines look less noticable and making discolouration less obvious are just some of the promises for the swirly stuff after 8 weeks of use.

hmm, reviews suggest that it can cause cause rashes and break outs. I think I’ll give it a miss.

£26.99? I don’t think so. Much rather pay the same for my Givenchy foundation.
